My 5 Beauty Must-Haves

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to find products that work best for my skin. While I was quite contented with solely using coconut oil as my go-to head-to-toe moisturizer, I felt like I still needed to try products on the market that could actually work because come on, not everyone is going to opt for virgin coconut oil and I wanted to be able to share my opinions on these products and also reap whatever benefits they had to offer. So today, I’m sharing with you my 5 beauty must-haves and I’ve also included a link to the product in each heading. Read and let me know what you think!

  1. Yes To Tomatoes Daily Balancing Moisturizer by Yes To

Yes To is an organic skin care line that specializes in products to counteract a plethora of skin issues. The collection I’m using is “Yes To Tomatoes” which is for acne-prone skin. I must say, since I’ve begun using it- which is a little over a month- I’ve noticed improvements. It’s lightweight and doesn’t leave my skin oily but hydrated throughout the entire day. I would normally apply it after I rinse my face in the mornings and at nights when I’m heading to bed if I don’t feel like applying acne gels (ugh). It has a smooth texture and it really smells all organicy lol. It took me a few days to actually adjust to the smell because it was definitely something new. My only issue with it is that it’s a bit pricey compared to mainstream acne daily moisturizers, but in this day and age, you have to pay higher prices for better quality products. I bought it for $14.97 at Walmart but you can get it online at cheaper prices.  Say Yes To Clear Skin!

2. Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips

As we all know, Biore just recently launched their new line of baking soda skin products. With this launch came an overwhelming craze, so,  I decided to try out one of their products to see how well it worked. Looking at all the choices on the shelves, this one captured my interest. I’ve been struggling with blackheads on my nose, chin, and forehead for a while now and these strips are just the perfect combating match. They basically rip the life out of blackheads leaving you feeling like you just got out of prison. I know that feeling is really mind over matter but when you remove those strips and take a look at all the dirt and grime that comes out of your pores, you have no choice but to feel like you’re a whole new person again.

I bought this combo pack for $8.47 at Walmart.

3. OGX Quenching Coconut Curls Shampoo & OGX Quenching Coconut Curls Conditioner

If you have curly, kinky or coily hair you know the stress that has to be endured to find atleast one good product on the market to tame your tresses and give you that flawless, natural shine. Well my friend, I’m here today to tell you that I have found just the brand! OGX is an organic hair care line that I’ve fallen deeply in love with. This shampoo and conditioner, created by them, is enriched with coconut oil, sweet honey and citrus oil to leave your hair feeling softly, looking smoothly and smelling beautifully! Unlike other brands, this duo doesn’t leave you with crispy curls- your curls are fuller, bouncy and way less fly-aways are present. After washing, I’ll sometimes leave the conditioner in or most times I’ll wash it out, after which I’ll use the product that I’ll be telling you about below. I was a Pantene girl before this, but Pantene was only doing so much and no more for me. OGX has given me confidence in my curly hair and for that I’m truly grateful. OGX can be found in-store and online at quite a few retailers, so check out the link! I bought each for $5.74 at the one and only Walmart.

4. OGX Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Oil Mist

BAM! OGX has done it again! So, about a month or more ago, when I was taking my trip to Jamaica, I was determined to find a product that would help ease the frizz that would be caused by the humid weather there. Given the fact that I had straightened my hair with a flat iron, I needed it to last the entire four days of my vacation. After leaving the salon, I went and bought this and I must say it worked like a charm. Within three sprays my hair was shiny, bouncy and smelling great! Each day I spent in JA, I sprayed my hair just a bit and the Jamaican sun could do only a little damage to my hairdo (only because I had taken it up on myself to run the flat iron through it again, so the extreme heat gave me a little frizz). Truth be told, my hair lasted two whole weeks and even the day I decided to wash it, it was still looking gorgeous, but I knew better than to keep it lool.

On my curly hair, I use it after I condition and towel dry. Take my word for it, this hydrating oil mist is magic. It’s about time we admit that mainstream hair products are overrated and start making an effort to find what really works for us. I bought this in Walmart for only $5.17.

5. Maybelline Master Prime by Face Studio Primer

IMG_20160526_105439Most times I’ll wear my makeup without priming but since I started using the new Maybelline Master Prime by FaceStudio, my makeup lasts the whole day with no creasing. Sometimes I wear this primer without any makeup and it gives my skin a beautiful glow. The added benefit of this product is that it provides you with broad spectrum SPF 3o sunscreen. I definitely recommend it to all you makeup lovers out there. Shout out to drugstore makeup! Walmart sells it for $7.54.

Hope you enjoyed! I’d love to hear your favourite beauty must-haves so comment below!

Xoxo,

Brittney
